We are Moxie!

Moxie means to be bold and beautiful, just like the women of the Northwest! This is a chance for ladies to come together, show off their fitness and celebrate the love for CrossFit we all share. A portion of every entry will go towards the UGM Crisis Shelter for Women and Children in Spokane, WA.

This ladies-only event features individuals and teams of two. This event partners with the Spokane Health and Fitness Expo.

If two people of different age groups team up, they’ll be listed in the most competitive age group. For example, if two athletes aged 36 and 61 team up, they’ll go in 35-45.

“REPEAT” (17.5)

10 rounds for time of:
9 Thrusters
35 Double-unders

Individuals:
At the call of “3, 2, 1 … go,” the athlete will perform 9 thrusters, then 35 double-unders. They will repeat this couplet for a total of 10 rounds. Every round they will advance their rope to the next station indicating which round they are on. Thrusters are performed with the bar in the front rack position. The athlete must perform a squat with the hip passing below the knee followed by locking the bar overhead with the bar in line with the shoulders/hips/knees at full extension. A squat clean thruster may be performed on the first rep though is not required. Every second counts in this workout. After the athlete has finished the last rep they will run to the start mat where time will be noted. If the athlete does not finish all 440 reps within the time cap, their score will be the time cap plus one second for each rep not completed. 15 minute time cap.
RX: 65/DU

Teams:
At the call of “3, 2, 1 … go,” athlete A will perform 9 thrusters, then 35 double-unders. A squat clean thruster may be performed on the first rep though is not required. They will repeat this couplet for a total of 5 rounds. Every round they will advance their rope to the next station indicating which round they are on. After athlete A has completed all 5 rounds they will tag athlete B, who will begin their 5 rounds of 9 thrusters, then 35 double-unders/singles. After the last athlete has finished the last rep they will run to the start mat where time will be noted. If the team does not finish all 440 reps within the time cap, their score will be the time cap plus one second for each rep not completed. 15 minute time cap..

Elite: 75/DU

“SUCK SANDWICH”

Individuals:
15min AMRAP
20 WB shots
20 Cal Bike
20 Cal Row
20 Deadlifts
RX: 14lb WB to 10 ft, 135lb deadlift

At the call of 3,2,1 GO athletes will begin WB to a 9 ft target line. The line must be visible under the ball at the time the ball hits the wall. If the ball does not hit the wall above the line it will be a no rep. Athletes hips must be below knee level for the squat to count. After all 20 WB are completed the athlete will advance to the bike and then the rower for 20 calories on each. Athlete must remain on the rower until all 20 calories read on the monitor. After the bike is complete the athlete will advance to the rower and accumulate 20 calories there. The athlete must remain on the rower until 20 calories reads on the monitor. Then the athlete will advance to the barbell and perform 20 deadlifts. The deadlift begins with the bar resting on the ground and being raised to the hip with knees and hips in extension. When standing, the athletes’ shoulders need to be behind the plane of the bar. Repeats will be allowed, singles will be allowed, alternating or clean grip will also be allowed. After 20 reps have been performed the athlete will begin a new round at the WB station and continue in order until the 15 minutes expire. The athlete will accumulate reps for 15 minutes. If the athlete finishes on the rower or bike, the calories on the monitor when the machine is at rest will be counted.

Teams:

20 Partner Deadlifts
WB shots will be shoulder to shoulder with one ball alternating. The line must be visible under the ball at the time the ball hits the wall. If the ball does not hit the wall above the line it will be a no rep. Athletes’ hips must be below knee level for the squat to count. The bike and the row will be happening at the same time, athletes will perform 20 calories then switch and perform 20 calories on the opposing machine. Athlete must remain on the rower and bike until all 20 calories read on the monitor. After the calories have been accumulated the team will advance to the deadlifts.The deadlifts will be shoulder to shoulder, both lifting the bar at the same time. The deadlift begins with the bar resting on the ground and being raised to the hip with knees and hips in extension. When standing the athletes shoulders need to be behind the plan of the bar. Repeats will be allowed, singles will be allowed, alternating, or clean grip will also be allowed. After 20 reps have been performed the team will begin a new round at the WB station and continue in order until the 15 minutes expire. The athletes will accumulate reps for 15 minutes. If the athletes finish on the rower or bike, the calories on the monitor when the machine is at rest will be counted.

Elite: 10 ft with a 20lb WB, 215lb Deadlift (4×45 plates)
RX: 10 ft with a 14lb ball, 195lb Deadlift (2×45, 2×35 plates)
Novice: 10 ft with a 10lb ball, 175lb Deadlift (2×45, 2×25 plates)
Master 35: 10 ft with a 10lb ball, 175lb Deadlift (2×45, 2×25 plates)
Master 45: 9 ft with a 10lb ball, 145 lb deadlift (2×45, 2×10 plates)

“GRACE PLUS”

(A) 0-4 minutes
30 clean and jerks/ 40 for teams
(B) 4-10 minutes

Box jump overs

Individuals:
Athletes will have 4 min to accomplish 30 clean and jerks. A clean and jerk begins on the ground and is received on the athlete’s shoulder, then moved overhead. A power clean or squat clean will be allowed. A strict press, push press, push jerk or split jerk will be allowed. If the athlete finishes under 4 minutes, they will rest the remaining time, if they are unable to complete the 30 reps, the unfinished reps will be added in seconds to the 4 min time. Event A will be its own score. Event B starts at 4 min and has a 6 minute time cap. Athletes will perform 15 bar facing burpees, chest/knees/hips touching the ground, then jumping or stepping over the bar. Then they will perform 15 box jump overs, RX division will be required to jump with 2 feet over the box. After the athletes have completed the the 15 box jumps overs, they will advance the box and declare what round they are on. They will continue this for the rounds of 12 and the round of 9. After the athletes finish their last box jump over they will run back to the start mat when their time will be marked.

Teams:
Athletes will have 4 min to accomplish 40 clean and jerks. A clean and jerk begins on the ground is received on the athlete’s shoulder, then moved overhead. A power clean or squat clean will be allowed. A strict press, push press, push jerk or split jerk will be allowed. Athletes must tag when trading positions. They may break up the reps however they want. If the team finishes under 4 minutes, they will rest the remaining time. If they are unable to complete the 40 reps, the unfinished reps will be added in seconds to the 4 min time. Event A will be its own score. Event B starts at 4 minutes and has a 6 min time cap. Teams will perform 15 synchronized bar facing burpees, chest/knees/hips touching the ground at the same time, then jumping or stepping over the bar. The jump/step over does not need to be in unison. Athletes will be standing shoulder to shoulder during these reps. Teams will then perform 15 synchronized box jump overs (2 boxes will be together). Athletes must both be standing on the same side of the box together before beginning the next rep. Elite and RX divisions will be required to jump with 2 feet, other divisions will be allowed to jump or step over the box. After the athletes have completed the the 15 box jumps overs they will advance the box and declare what round they are on. They will continue this for the round of 12 and the round of 9. After the athletes finish their last box jump over they will run back to the start mat when their time will be marked.

Elite: 95 lbs, 24 inch box- must jump
RX: 85 lbs/ 20 inch box- must jump
Novice: 75 lbs, 20 inch box- may step over
M35: 75 lbs, 20 inch box- may step over
M45: 65 lbs, 20 inch box- may step over
